Prospectors on Chillkoot Pass.

The Klondike gold rush was the most photographed event of its time. In many ways the gold rush at the turn of the 20th century mirrors the events at the turn of the 21st century. The gold rush was seen as an opportunity to get rich quick full of hype and promise. However, for the vast majority of would-be prospectors the gold rush rewarded them with alot of hard work and little financial gain.

There were those that did prosper during the gold rush. The merchants that supplied the prospectors made three times the amount of money that was drawn from all Klondike claims. There are opportunities, but you need to know where to look.

At the turn of the 21st century the Internet brought the promise of quick and easy money to many of the dot.com companies. Old business models were disregarded. We were on Internet time now, and nothing would ever be the same. The Internet had fundamentally changed the business model. However, Internet time came to a sudden screeching stop in mid-2000. The dot.com bubble burst, taking with it many telecom and financial institutions. In truth the Internet had not changed the business model but merely augmented it.

Business planning and fundamentals are timeless. Ultimately sound business and market planning will go a long way toward making your business succeed. At Klondike Marketing and Consulting we understand business and want to help you to succeed. Whether success means starting or growing your business, researching a new market, or scopeing out the competition we are here to help you succeed.
